In future firmware version, please add "distance ahead/behind" and "time ahead/behind" in custom data field like Edge 510.
Please Please

I've just been manually transferring my screens from my 510 to my new 520. I went through all the data fields twice looking for the "Time Ahead" field. It's not there! Can Garmin seriously be this stupid? They finally added the field to the 510 after months/years of complaints, then they release a new computer and they take it back out. Has no Garmin employee ever ridden a bike? You DO NOT NEED TO LOOK AT A MAP when you are chasing Strava segments. You DO NEED TO SEE YOUR IMPORTANT PERFORMANCE METRICS IN THE WAY YOU LIKE TO SEE THEM.

Yesterday I was looking for this too. Please add this data field :)

I've sent the request to Garmin by email too
  • One more!

Very annoying, since no way to read effort, be it through power or heart rate!

A must have, since my 510 had this!!!
  • Sorry to bump this thread, but I would also like to be able to customise the segment screen. Show cadence, power, heart rate and delta time; fastest segment time not so much.

It's is possible to exit the map screen when doing a segment, just press the up/down buttton. For long segments it doesn't spoil anything with this little manouvre, but for short "all out" ones it's not good.

It does spoil it because then you can't see the only new data field you're actually interested in seeing when riding a segment, which is the time gap.

Ok, I either ride against the time ahead/behind (and don't care about where I should be in my HR/Power range) or keeping within my limits (HR/power)...

I agree, screen customization for Live Segments is biggest needed feature improvement

I'd like to see my power and time ahead/behind. No need for the map. If I'm on a segment I'm targeting by having starred it, I already know where to go.

If I'm losing time during a segment, I'd like to see what my power is right then, not have to look when I get home. Having to take my hands off the bar to push buttons and switch screens during an all out effort is not a good option.
  • +1 I'd like to have the time behind/ahead in a page, instead of having to fiddle with the buttons to go to the segment/map page.
To me this will be especially useful on long climbs.
