Edge 520 software version 3.0 available but ...

Version 3.0 is shown available on the Garmin website but Garmin Express does not think there is any update. What gives?

    The one i am having problem using with Edge 520 is TICKR (BTLE/ANT+).


    Try contacting wahoo, they might upgrade your tickr to a tickr run as for someone in this thread:

    In the case of edge 1000 it seemed to be limited to SOME units, so if this is the same issue that would explain why some people have not trouble.

    No. Enable "Always show" for your course and ride as normal, without selecting the course in question. It won't give you course-point notifications (or turn guidance, whatever it is), I would think, but you can keep the map as the default screen and have live-segment notifications pop up.

    Anyone tried this?

    Thanks vestergaard.rene - it's a helpful suggestion. But a bit frustrating as it'd require you to either have the map as your display full-time or just get in the practice of constantly flipping back to it throughout the ride using the buttons.

    Having course points is an experience truly much better than the above. On my main layout I have a nice little box that tells me how many KM/miles until the next turn. No need to constantly worry (and check the map) about whether I missed my upcoming turn (which of course lets you focus on... you know... that whole "relax and enjoy the ride" thing:rolleyes:)

    Come on Garmin!

    ANT+ and BT dropouts following firmware 3.0 update (Edge 520)

    Anyone else experiencing significant dropout of all ANT+ (stages PM, Garmin HR & Cadence) and BT (iPhone 5..IOS 9.XX)? Garmin is looking into my case. I've done numerous factory resets and still the same results.

    Alan, it showed up in both GC and GE it is also available for my vivoactive. On the Vivoactive thread there is a list of whats updated.

    Alan, here is a pic. Not sure by the descriptions if it will apply to the 520 but it looks like it will update several devices.
