Version 3.0 is shown available on the Garmin website but Garmin Express does not think there is any update. What gives?

  • My Wahoo Tickr has worked perfectly since I got my Edge 520 on August 13th.
  • Guys, not sure the above is correct. I've been using a TICKR (standard - not run or x) from day 1 with the 520 without any issues. I have two TICKR HR monitors, in fact... Have yet to try with the 3.0 firmware - I seriously hope they didn't screw it up!

If you TICKR worked with the version 2.3 firmware, it should work in the version 3.0 firmware. It is possible Wahoo Fitness made several versions of TICKR. I may have bought one of the earlier ones that is not compatible with Edge 520/1000.
  • My courses now shows the elevation profile.

doesn't work with mine as expected. just created a course for tomorrow on GC and it's showing up as flat as a pancake. the only elevation i do have is for a one that i have already ridden
  • How to

Edge 520 how to make master reset? After update to 3.0 all setings missing , during entering new setinga on screen Add sensor unit hung up. After restart is the same.

I just upgraded to 3.0 and loaded a new course from GC and it shows up n preview along with the other courses I have (none of which have been ridden). How did you load the course?

There are indeed 2 versions of the plain vanilla tickr, the 1st generation was ANT+ only and the new one is dual BLTE/ANT+ like the other new generation Wahoos: tickr run and ticker X. There are issues reported for newer generation plain tickr (ant/BLTE) with garmin devices (some edge 1000 and edge 520). No issues with Tickr run or X

Weird. Both of my TICKRs are Ant+/BT and they work fine.

It seems to work good, but please remove full screen alert during workout!!!
Then it could be nice to control the brake of fe-c trainer, based on powermeter's data.

Edge 520 how to make master reset? After update to 3.0 all setings missing , during entering new setinga on screen Add sensor unit hung up. After restart is the same.

I saw the Add Sensor freezing as well on update, but then realised the original sensor settings were still in the unit, along with my original custom profiles, so I just ignored this stage, deleted the default profiles that had re-installed themselves, and went out for a ride.
