Notifications of little use

Is it me, or are the notifications on the 520 of limited use? For text messages from my iPhone, I only see who the message is from and no preview of the message itself (like I get on my 920 or Fenix3). I can't find a setting where I could get a larger preview or get more information that merely who sent the message.

This is very little value if you're heads down riding and want to know if you should stop to respond or not. The whole point is I don't want to fiddle with the menus to get to the detailed message list while riding. There's so much more screen real estate on the Edge 520 than Fenix or 920 that can be used for this, but the other devices with smaller screens seem to be better with this feature.
  • I agree they're pretty much useless as is. Unless you happen to notice the notification when it occurs there's nothing to alert you that a msg was received. It would be better if they brought up a notification and left it there until you cleared it similarly to the message shown when movement is detected.
  • Have you set you phone to allow full notifications on the lock screen?

Yes. Evidenced with preview of message on Fenix3 and 920xt. Just not on the Edge 520.
