Brand new Edge 25 does not connect with ANT+ Powertap

Hi, I just got a brand new Edge 25 and tried pairing it with my Powertap wheel which is ANT+ capable. It did not work. I tried it many times, and manually selected the "Connect sensor" option under settings, but it did not find the Powertap. It does find my Garmin heart rate belt, but it does not find the Powertap. To double check I successfully connected the Powertap with my Forerunner 920XT and it worked immediately, so I'm 1ßß% sure the problem must be the Edge 25. I do have the latest firmware installed. Anyone can help with this?

The e25 doesn't support power data. I don't think it's a hardware limitation but rather Garmin trying to keep sales up of more expensive units.

But it OFFICIALLY supports ANT+, that is what all sales websites say. So it must support the Powertap. They cannot write it supports ANT+ and then limit the devices they support. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew that.

While it may support ANT+ (Garmin owns ANT+), according to the Garmin website, it does not support power meters, only speed and cadence.
  • Pretty clear from the onset

    (Garmin Edge 25 FAQs)

It's pretty clear that no power meter support is available from the product.
