Hello , i got a problem with my Edge 130 , when following a course i cant get navigation prompts (i mean the turn alert ) . I have this turned on in options and its still not working . Its really bad that you are buying device that promise that kind of option and its not working. I have tried everything please help.

  • The navigation prompts must be included in the track.
I use Javawa RTWtool, but you can use a variety of tools, I heard Garmin Connect can also ad the prompts.

What i need to do in this app, convert gpx to tcx?

  • In RTWtool you can convert from gpx to tcx/fit and add the notifications.
You must configure the tool to do this.
    Click on the "tools" icon,
    Click on the "arrows" icon.
Make the settings for distance and the angle you want to be informed about.
This is where the fuzziness begins.
    (same for all the tools)
Every sharp bend in a track will be seen as a turn.
Also every GPS error from left to right (or right to left) from the device that recorded the track, will be seen as a turn.
On a MTB you'll get a lot of false notifications riding on a singletrack.
Changing the angle setting flattens this out, but brings up an even bigger problem, on some junctions or intersections you won't get a notification at all.
On a road bike, riding on the road, the world is square and much easier to translate into notifications.
On a MTB it is a nightmare.
    Just try it.

I ride off road on a MTB, so the notifications suck.
And they take half of the screen, so you can't use the map screen to figure out for yourself where to go.
