Details for Operation that are not in manual - Edge 130

Hiyas people..
Hey, I have a new Edge 130 and have some questions about exactly how to operate and what to expect. I've been reading this forum for a few hours, but didn't find what I was looking for. Didn't find it in the manual either.

Specifically, the integration with a Bontrager light.
The Auto, Trail modes...what exactly to expect with these modes? I've started testing but I'd rather just read how it's supposed to work.

I also have questions about the auto-pause, auto-off and what to expect in relation to battery life. (sometimes it does auto-off, but this morning it didn't and I don't know why).

Is there a more detailed manual than http://static.garmin.com/pumac/Edge_130_OM_EN.pdf

Or do I just post questions here? I also have questions about which Garmins have the best light integration, it appears I should have researched this better - seems like the 130 is kinda bottom of the barrel and doesn't have many of the options of higher models - but where is this comprehensive comparison document?

Thanks for help!
  • I've just purchased the Edge 130 and started using it with a Flare RT. You can only change the flashing mode if you set the lights configuration to Individual. I have found the lights turning on and off automatically isn't reliable or practical. Also I started to get an alert that the light battery was low just a couple of hours into my ride. I disconnected in case it was draining the battery but in fact the battery was fine and still was on day flash a couple of hours later. I think that the lights mode is more likely to work properly with Garmin lights.
