Physio True-Up and the Edge 130

How is Physio true-up meant to work with the Edge 130? I just got a Fenix 5 and have True-up enable in GC for both, the Fenix5 didn’t pull the last 30 days of activities but does sync any activity done once I got the watch. Is it meant to pull older activities before I got the watch?

Another one is from what I read once the activity is passed from a Physio true-up device the Fenix 5 should be able to do any metrics it can but on the watch the activity passed from the edge doesn’t seem to have training effect, is it meant to calculate this? Or do I need to wait longer I only have the watch two days, or do I need to recorded the rides on my Fenix 5 and use Extended Display to get the Fenix 5’s advanced metrics?
  • So I did a ride today and started recording on both the 130 and the Fenix 5, after the ride I saved the Fenix 5 ride and it had the Training Effect recorded so I discarded the Edge 130 data and synced both devices the ride showed up in the 130 ride history and the Recovery Time updated although it seemed high which might be because it was the first ride the Fenix 5 recorded itself so might need to learn.

So, it seems I need to do the main recording on the Fenix 5 and use the Edge as a dummy display which is fine as I can set the Fenix to show a 1-page data field with Performance Condition to glance at during the ride.

But I was wondering if Devs could confirm that this is the way it is meant to work, from what I read I got the impression when the Edge 130 uploaded to the Fenix the Fenix would calculate Training Effect from the Edge 130 data, also True-Up never sent 30 days’ worth of data to the Fenix only data from after the watch got activated seems to be passed on with true-up is this correct or should it have got older data?
