Change Auto-Lap duration

Very sorry, as it seems a pretty basic question, but how do I change the duration of the auto-lap? Right now it seems to be set at 5Km, but I cannot find a place to change it.

Thank you!

My understanding is that you can only have auto laps of 5k or 5 miles. It does seem a bit restrictive.
  • might as well remove the functionality all together and save the embarrassment
  • Garmin,

is this something that can be added through a firmware update? Are you willing to make any concessions in this regards? Best regards.

It's a bit of a workaround, but you could set an alert up for whatever distance you wanted, then press the lap button when it goes off. Not ideal, but it's the best you'll get at the moment. Hopefully Garmin will add more features like this, and customisable auto-pause speed, in future updates.
  • I'll report the concerns to our team. Thanks for the discussion and feedback.
  • Any gps device has this feature, at least in its site or smart application. Only 130 is missing

    And you know this how?

The Edge 130 is an entry level device. As such some features available on other devices will be lacking or not implemented to the same degree,
  • I just miss autolap by position because it is capable only gps enabled device. it is suppurted in even legacy edge205. Fixed 5km auto-lap can be done in wired sensor meters. Funny if the company like garmin call it is auto lap.
Problem is that a lot of experienced cyclists who does not need map or color functions like this solid tiny bike computer.

  • Still a far cry from
Any gps device has this feature,
that you stated above. And what has the barometer got to do with changing the auto-lap duration?

not sure what this barometer rubbish is about but this is a handy feature that is sadly missed and had I have known it was missing I would've probably gone with a 520 instead. Come on Garmin, sort it out.

They won't. It is their intention. Their are a lot of limitations on data fields and functions on the 130. You can only learn from it - as me - and for the future never being early adaptor for any Garmin device. I thought I already did.....another mistake.
