1030 cant find my vector 3 right pedal

Hello all,

I've not used my 1030 and Vector 3 pedals on my road bike for about a year. I've been mostly using Zwift and Wattbike.

I decided to transfer my Vector pedals to my Wattbike. I updated the 1030 and new batteries in both pedals. Both flash that they are working.

They seem to pair withe the Garmin Connect app but for some reason the 1030 is only finding the left pedal. When I search for the other pedal my 1030n shows the screen '' to connect the power sensor rotate the crank arms '' which I do but after waiting 5 minutes nothing happens and it just shuts down.

Any feedback appreciated.

That is correct. The left pedal is the controller and communicates to the head unit. The right pedal only talks to the left pedal. The left pedal aggregates the data from both pedals and sends it to the head unit.

If you have left/right balance then the pedals are talking to each other. You can also check that under the sensor details. If there is an option to pair the pedals then then left does not not know about the right. If the option shown is to unpair them, then are in communication with each other.

I couldn't get it to pair or connect to either Connect app or Edge.

I done some research and it's a known issue with Vector 3 pedals with the design of the battery housing.

I phoned Garmin today who were great and are sending me new battery housings for both pedals, happy days.
