I wonder if the 1030 will be getting the new Anytime/Anywhere Climbpro feature that is on the newest Garmins? Anyone hear anything or seen anything in the beta?

This feature will not be coming back to the x30 units.
Why not and says who? It is a firmware update for the 1040 so easy to update for the 1030 and if enough complain they will do it - use this link http://www8.garmin.com/contactUs/ideas/
Use the link, Garmin emailed it to me the other day and said that if enough people complain it would happen
Good luck... Just search "Disable Virtual Partner" in this forum...
I can't recall when the 1030 was introduced. I think I got it in 2017. Why would Garmin add a new feature to a six year old device? Garmin is after all in the business of selling computers and new features are what make users upgrade.
...because I bought it last year and on that time the model 1040 was not introduced yet.
I feel cheated :-(
I can understand your frustration. This type of thing has happened to me too.You win some and you lose some. The 1030 plus model was out in 2020 and that model is not going to get this new feature either.
Also, the older processor and limited memory of the 1030 might not be able to handle the load.
