course for a race, but need 4 laps

Hi,

I know this has been asked before but there was no solution.
Has this been solved by now?

more detail:

created a course for. a race. The course will be done multiple times ( laps )
If I load the course the navigation stops after the first lap, finished ... In reality 3 laps to go.

This must be basic for road racing, no?

  • Why not just loop the course 4 times? The watch will hopefully get it right if it starts on the correct loop. If it starts with one of the later loops it will end early.

Another solution is to just restart the course after it has ended.

Edit: The best solution is the one suggested by . Use that! Very smart.

Out of curiostity I tested this scenario years ago with an Edge device.
It had not worked with 4 loops and it does not work with only one loop, because you will get ("Course ended" at the end of the first loop, if end of course is on that same place.

    What worked was:
Make the course with only one loop.
Set the end of the course (the last point) a 100 m away from the course, so you never will pass this point.
Start the course. The seconnd loop will start with "off course" and "course found" and navigation will be used again for the 2. loop - and all others...
Of course you have to stop the course manually at the very end.

  • Yeah, came here to say this and you put it very well..  The trick is setting up the end so you never cross it.  So in the end it doesn't matter what lap the course thinks it's on, it just keeps picking it up without ending.

  • What's the role for the course file? do you need navigation ? Do you need to count laps?

1.You can put lap by position

2.I think that is better to have Strava segment , or any segment

2.You don't have to create a loop . leave the course with A-B not unified
