Is it possible to import new Strava route to 1030 w/o desktop?

I've had my 1030 since it was first released and generally love it. I have talked other people into buying it as well. But I have a general complaint that importing a new route is a real PIA. Assuming I have a laptop or my home PC, I can create a Strava route and import it when plugged into the USB port. And that is a PIA process when it DOES work.

But while traveling with my family, I had my bike but didn't have any pre-loaded courses on my 1030, so ended up just getting lost and truncating my ride... that blows and seems avoidable. The routes and guidance that Garmin provides are pretty bad. For example I'll get routed off a road for a couple blocks, only to be put back onto the same road, which over the course of a long ride makes it all the more painful (and embarrassing when leading a ride). So I've used Strava to create routes for the last couple years with huge success. That is, at least when I have a computer with me.

So... Garmin or smart cyclists here: can I create a route on Strava and import it onto my 1030? It should be 100% possible as I basically do the opposite every time I go for a ride and then load it into Garmin Connect and then Strava.

Thanks in advance.
