Europe Maps from an Edge 1030 +

My friend just bought an Edge 1030+ with America and Europe maps already installed in the 32 megs memory. Is it possible to copy the Europe map to Google Drive so I can copy it to my Edge 1030. Is there a file name to specific for the Europe map ?

I'm not sure of it works (due to licenses).

Why not download a free map for Europe from https://www.openfietsmap.nl/downloads/europe ? Also newer maps

I feel let down by Garmin. I want a complete genuine Garmin Edge. But, sure, I had already download the necessary Italy (part) map.

I have an European Edge 1030+.

The EU Garmin Cyclemap 2021 consits of 3 maps:

gmapprom.img "Central Europe" (covers Italy - and others of course...)
D6017070A.img "West Europe"
D6016070A.img "East Europe"

For each map file there are 3 other files with same name but other extention: *.gma, *.unl, *.sum

If you will try for Italy: copy all files named "gmapprom.*" to your device and test it.
(Or try with only IMG file)

Thank you for your reply. You mention files that I don't « see » on my friend Edge. So, I'll leave it there because I don't want to mess my Garmin. I try to copy only the « .img » file.
