How can I import POI's to 1030?

Hi,

I have been sent a GPX file that has a number of POI's - campground, food shops etc. But this does not load into my Garmin 1030 (I copied the .GPX into the NewFiles folder).

I see a reference in some threads to a GPI file - what is this and how do I create one?

Also, I need to have a Course active and also POIs displayed at the same time. How do I do this?
