edge 1030 plus virtual partner, speed + & - adjustments very difficult to adjust while riding and impossible with gloves on

Why have Garmin made the + & - so small on the virtual partner screen, they are nearly-impossible to (forget trying with gloves on) alter while riding?

The screen has load of potential space for these to be dedicated buttons on the screen, similar to the elevation screen.

Every time I try, I either get the drop down screen appearing or I reset how far ahead or behind the virtual partner is.

Any ideas???

I feel the virtual partner is a waste of space if a garmin ride goes up an down hills the partner achieves it at the ride speed. I feel the worst thing is the continuing need to delete it, as it seems to be reinstated If you do,

yes I know what you mean, that's why I'd like to alter the speed on the fly, but i really struggle to do so.

It is a feature currently and my original post is about it being very difficult to alter on the fly as your riding and invariably i tend to reset it, but still not change the speed

I sometime use it to drag me back home by setting a speed to keep me going. you can turn it off but I ride short section of a ride to it's pace. or try to. If you ride the same circuit you can set it to your average speed and see if you getting better against your last ride, caveat "the wind" BTW i'm in a flattish area although i love a good hill
