Travel Range field

I've had my 1030 paired with my Specialized Turbo Vado and it worked without a problem.  The bike needed to be serviced and they did a software update on the bike and the 1030 wouldn't recognize the existing profile.  I re-paired the bike and the 1030 and all fields work except for the Travel Range field which has an arbitrary distance in it of .62 miles.  I've deleted both the bike in the sensor field and the entire ebike profile and again everything works but the Travel Range field which always reads .62 miles when the bike is on.  All fields are zero or blank when the bike is off, as expected.  Any suggestions?

  • You will likely need to reach out to Specialized for assistance on this. The Edge will display whatever information is sent to it. This is true regardless of the manufacturer of the sensor, and it sounds as though the software update triggered some change/error.

  • I have the Specialized Creo. Same thing here. Data field for “travel range” is  stuck on .62. Garmin support said it’s a Spesh issue. Spesh guy confirmed that the Creo does not output data to the edge that would give that info. It would be nice to have that but battery percent remaining (which is displayed on the edge) is probably a more reliable and accurate piece of information.

  • Specialized informed me that its working previously was a mistake! And that the software updates likely removed the capability.  Cause why would you want to have useful functionality for your riders?  Geez!

  • See my response below!  Also, someone pointed out that ..62 miles = 1 km so curious as to why that is the data point that appears?
