Edge 1030 not finding Garming HRM after recent Update

I was prompted to do the head unit update a couple of days ago (version 12.20) and now it will not find my HRM. I've done the reset (pressing side button for 10 secs) nothing different. Anyone had the same problem and fixed it?

Does your HRM connect to other devices? Maybe it is the battery.

Remove the HRM from the Edge and add it again.

Done all of that including putting a new battery in.

Last time I switched battery in my HRM-Tri it didn't work at first. I had to remove the battery and wait for a long time (just wait for an hour or so just in case) and then put in the battery and try again.

Just make a short circuit of the connectors with a paper clip, then put the battery back in. There is no need to wait that long.

My Edge 1030 (on 12.20) finds my Wahoo Tickr just fine, but disconnects frequently, most often after an auto pause on my ride. Same with the heart rate broadcast feature of my Garmin Venu 2. I don't have any disconnects with either on my Karoo 2, so I suspect it's a software problem. Anyone else?
