I would like Garmin Edge to integrate with ANGI helmet sensor such that ANGI helmet sensor "starts" when I hit the "start" button on my Garmin Edge.

This topic is over in Android Garmin Connect but it's really and Edge software issue...not even specific to 1030.

All Edge computers should be able to tell ANGI helmet to start a ride; I don't want to have to use the Specialized Ride app and have to hit start ride.

Isn't the ANGI device simply duplicating what the Edge does already?

The ANGI sensor is not very useful without the Specialized app (the app is required for the incident reporting).

Garmin could, I suppose, support the ANGI sensor on the Edge (like any other sensor) but that would require the cooperation of Specialized.

I don't see this ever happening.

(The ANGI sensor kind-of duplicates the incident reporting that the Edges provide.)
