Hi my 1030 without prompt or tampering the Garmin has reset itself and I find myself with a different language and so much more frustrating I have lost the ride data It’s so frustrating it took my such a long time to reset Can you please help
you can try this.......maybe it helps solving your loss or at least part of it.
Connect your device to your pc, take a look at \\Garmin\Debugging\Backup\
you will find some *.fit files there like:
CyclingMontainXXXs.fit ( XXX = your activity profilname)
CyclingRoadXXX.fit
Records.fit
Totals.fit
Locations.fit
and so on....
Copyy ALL !!! *.fit files you can find there - as long as the date/timestamp is equal or older the moment you lost your data - to
\\Garmin\NewFiles ...... restart your Edge.
Datas in those files where put in place after a restart, at least those until your last Firmwareupdate. Edge gathers all information and make a backup when you install new firmware version, so you might get some of your datas back.
