I bought an Edge 1030 a few years back, and have been very happy with it. Recently, the screen started doing the blue halo thing, but I didn't think much of it. Later, I found out that Garmin has been offering an exchange program for affected units, but I thought that it was at cost. I decided to contact Garmin Australia support this week and ask, as the exchange program webpage didn't offer Australia as a participating country. Much to my surprise, Garmin have agreed to replace my unit with a refurb at no charge.
I am impressed. I think that's good service for a device over 3 years old.
