I was logging into a local wifi after a ride and my Edge 1030 went into reset mode which eliminated all my files includes the metric century I just finished. Very disappointing.
Does anyone know how to recover those files?

Did you connect your edge to a computer and check the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder?
If there are files there, you can try a manual upload - How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect?
If there's nothing there, you might have a small chance in recovering the file using various recovery tools. However, even if recovered , there's a good chance the file(s) will be corrupted and require a certain level of repair. See this thread and answer - how do I get my activity back if I delete it?
Yes, checked activity folder and nothing there.
Not sure what the ignored thing is.
I believe it means they are zero bytes in length, so not possible to recover. But I would check by going to options >> actions then check the top 3 items. If they show your ignored files, then you're probably out of luck
