Garmin Edge 1030 not receiving notifications from phone

I have an OPPO A9 2020 that is paired to the Garmin Edge 1030 by bluetooth. But I cannot receive push notifications or missed calls on the Edge 1030.

I have checked the App permissions in Android settings and in Connect app settings. The Garmin Edge is up to date at software version 11.00.

Both Edge 1030 and phone show the devices are connected.

Results of the ride are showing in app fine

Does anyone have any ideas?

    Former Member I am sorry to hear about the notification issues you've seen, and would first recommend starting with our Support article here. This has quite a few steps outlined that may resolve this issue for you, as well as some additional articles linked at the bottom that are related. 

    If you are still seeing this issue, answering the below questions would help us out. 

    • What SW is installed on your Edge? 
    • What version of Garmin Connect Mobile do you have installed? 
    • Have you un-paired and re-paired your Edge from your phone completely? 
    • Have you ever been able to receive notifications?

    Have you enabled the apps you require notifications from in the GCM settings?

    Also have you enabled the display of messages & missed calls notifications in the Bluetooth settings on the Edge itself?

    Do you have (BT) Edge 1030  activate in Bluetooth setting on your phone or do you also have (BLE) Edge 1030 also installed and activated... BLE is necessary to get the messages displayed on the Edge 1030

    Hi thanks for everyones help l have both BT and BLE opened on my phones blue tooth it used to work great on my old sumsung 8t but with my new phone I have tried everything and it just want send anything to my Garmin 1080

    Follow the steps Garmin-Bake linked you to. There is much more to it than turning BT on or off

    Hi the SW on the edge is 11.00

    Garmin connect version is 4.37.2

    Yes I have un- paired and re- paired

    I used to be able to receive notifications on my sumsung 8t
