Since upgrading to version 11.00 firmware, Garmin 1030 unit GRADE % is displaying incorrect numbers. Is anyone else seeing this - when I ride a flat road it says 24%?!?!
The Elevation is displaying correct total but elevation in Garmin connect is stuffed and the GRADE on the device is way out! See images of 3 x rides. 1st before update and the next 2 subsequent...to 11.00 and the last image is the total elevation (823m for the 2nd to last ride showing -499 and 12,605.
Also air holes are clear. See image: 
I've loaded your ...1641.zip activity file to fitfile repair tool and noticed:
This strange elevation curves are recorded by the Edge internal barometer. (See Excel sheets). That's very strange and I have no idea where the correct elevation gain in Garmin Connect of 823 m comes from. (Elevation correction is not activated - if activated there is an elevation gain of 878 m shown.)
What else I've noticed:
-the battery consumption is very low for an Edge 1030 - less than 5% per hour. Question: in which mode do you operate the device? Where did you attach/stow it?
I don't think the problem has anything to do with the new software.
What I would do:
Set the elevation data as datafield on the screen and watch it.
Observe this data before starting the activity.
(The first elevation value in your fitfile is 3,785.2 m! The second is 34.6 m. That's strange!)
False grade is a result of false elevation recording!

Thanks for the response. It’s too much of a coincidence for me that this issue began since the update. I’ve downgraded to version 10.00 and am riding in the morning, will upload a FIT file after that. I ride with the Edge in the middle of my Stem, always have no issues with Barometer. No special modes that I ride in either. I have HR, Cadence, Speed and Power sensors and connect my phone via Bluetooth too for notifications.
