I not seeing the usual reviews of new firmware. Anyone install Ver. 11 and have any issues?

Odd issue for me, used Strava IQ app to load a course, but Garmin wouldn’t let me shut down the device saying I have to close the IQ app first, no idea how that is supposed to work, I ended up having to…
One thing I learned my kids as soon as possible: always use the native language of a program. Translations are always odd or wrong, late, and/or create crashes. And using native language of the program…
Since the 1030 has a considerable amount of memory, why place your rides on the SD Card?
I would add since the 1030 has plenty storage why bother with an SD card ? They have a long history of causing all kind of issues on any platform. Garmin ditched them with the 1030plus/ Apple never implemented them in any iOS device for that reason. Uness you have a special use case that absolutely require one I would avoid them
Garmin says they added device-driven LiveTrack. What do they mean by that?
I think the only purpose for the SD card is for adding additional maps which can take up a fairly large amount of memory. Fit files are so small and don't use up much memory.
I can report that trainings referencing to power zones are now working again as they should. Indoor Trainer sets correct target power again.
This makes it a lot easier to maintain Trainings as they adapt to FTP changes accordingly. Thank's Garmin.
Personally, v11 is really a good release. Devices reacts fast, haven't found a feature not working so far. Had a bunch of live track issues but not sure if it was the Edge or my mobile causing the issues. Will try it out if I can catch a nice day to ride outdoors.
Personally, I really would like to see "respiratory rate" being implemented. As you're riding with a strap most of the time, the data is already there, it just needs to get harvested.
Am I correct in assuming that a special heart rate strap is required for respiratory rate. That would be a interesting feature.
Not quite sure about that. My simple HRM Dual strap paired to a fenix 6 gives me respiratory rate during the activity.
The same strap paired to the Edge doesn't give that metric, so I guess it's just software to enable it.
The Edge is capable of saving HRV data which is mandatory for features like already build in stress test, and the same data can be used to calculate respiratory rate.
1st bug that I found. It's not possible anymore to calibrate my indoor trainer anymore. When tapping on Calibrate, it loads the Calibration Screen for regular Powermeters instead of the indoor calibration program.
Thus resulting in a rotating screen as if the Edge is waiting for the regular powermeter to be connected.
