Some of the Locations in my Recent Searches are not useful to me. Why is it possible for me to delete a Saved Location but NOT a Recent Search Location?
Thanks for your reply
It is odd. There are a load of "Recent Searches" from a tour I did last year. I'll probably never need to go to those places again so I'd like to delete them.
I think you're right. I read somewhere that the Garmin Edge (not sure which model) stores a maximum of 15 "Recent Searches" - presumably the oldest search is dropped if you do more than 15 searches
I'll try to save my "Recent Searches" as "Saved Locations" and delete them from there - maybe they'll be deleted from "Recent Searches" too
I just played around with it and found that out of the eight recent searches I have on the unit, I could delete four of them. The other four did not show the edit option. Very strange. If you go press on a recent find and then press on the top of the screen, that is where the edit option can be found if the location is able to be deleted.
update. it looks like I was not actually deleting the recent find but a saved location that was shown on the recent find list. Confusing.
Despite owning various garmin edge cycling devices for over 12 years, I can't see how to remove items under 'recent finds' on my new edge 830. 'Saved locations' can be deleted no problem, but not 'recent finds'.
I've searched here and on google, and there is clearly an issue with this, but no actual solution. Anybody?
I e-mailed customer support and they got back to me within a few hours!
They said;Unfortunately, I do not believe there is a way to remove/delete "recent finds" from the device. However, after 50 or so searches it will overwrite the older data.
