Komoot integration poor on Edge 1030 compared to Wahoo

Dear all,

on the Garmin Edge 1030 we have for some time the IQ app Komoot in order to directly import and ride an komoot route.

the basic functionality works great however when one route is finished or crashed or you started close to the finish and for some reason the route has been finished at that moment you cannot start a new route or your second route. This means you have to stop your workout in order to start or restart your Komoot route. At Wahoo you can start as many routes as you want so you never first have to stop your current workout.

Garmin, could you investigate and fix this issue.

Or grouteloader, which also has a widget version.

With these, you can download the course to an android phone.

You can then use either of the IQ widgets to access the files on the android device running the android gexporter app.

Don't use the crappy IQ App. Simply activate Sync and the Routes will get automatically synced to Garmin Routes. It's not a problem then to navigate or start a new course.

You uninstall the komoot IQ App, and redo your Connection between komoot and Garmin. There is a checkbox for a sync. Turn that on and the planned routes get synced to the device upon synchronisation of the Edge.

Hi Fieser, thanks for the how to and indeed it works now after I reconnected Komoot via the website as in the app itself there is no option to sync without IQ app. Stefan
