Have you tried powering up, cable connected, whilst holding the lap/reset button for (up to) 30 seconds ? This in theory should force it into a hard reset and allow it into mass storage mode (where you can delete the \newfiles contents and chkdsk the device.
I had this problem where the unit froze always and was not really usable after waking up/booting. The file system was fine, the only solution for me was to factory reset the unit and start from scratch.
Something was migrated incorrectly during the upgrade and caused corruption, ever since setting it up from scratch, it has been perfect.
Just started the device away from wifi the first time and mine froze too. Seems like holding power button for 10 seconds solved it. But It stills seems to be doing something in the background because it is a bit slow switching between screens.
Does anyone have a clue as to why some units are having the Wifi/Bluetooth freeze and others are not? I don't have any problems with Wifi and Bluetooth both on. There must be another variable that is causing the issue.
Just upgraded to v 11.00. It did not solve the issue. Anyone else figure out how to resolve this (other than to turn wifi off) over the past couple of months?
