upload waypoints in 1030

I have been sending tracks to my edge 1030 via wifi (uploading it into GC and then sending it to the device) for long without any problem.

Today I have tried to send some waypoints and I failed miserably. Having searched a bit it seems that the only way to send waypoints to the device is via Basecamp (I hate it as it is very unfriendly). Is that correct? Is there any workaround that make possible to send waypoint to the 1030 via wifi?

I have also seen that there are not proximity alerts to waypoints in 1030, it is a pity but I could survive without it. But if you have any bright idea it will be welcome.

If you have them in a gpx or fit file, you can put the file in \Garmin\NewFiles.

I wrote a Windows program that will convert Google map links for you.

I will have a look to your program, looks very interesting. I presume that wifi conexion is not allowed by Garmin.

I missed the wifi comment.

Where are you getting the waypoints?

Where are you loading them? At home? On the road?

I wrote an IQ app that will let you load waypoints in various ways wirelessly.

I create the wp (usualy) with Land compegps. And load them at home. .I'll have a look to your IQ.

The (newer) Garmins can download fit files wirelessly. It might be possible to download waypoints that way. But the devices are expecting the file to be a course.

My IQ app can read a file list page from a website.

My Windows program can create that file list page.

You can use another program (caddy) to create a website on your home computer.

You just tell my IQ app (using settings) the IP address and port.

My IQ app gets the waypoint coordinates and the name creates the waypoint on the device programmatically.
