No it’s enabled but thanks for the suggestion. 

That is not correct, the popup happen on any screen, including the map screen, when it is enabled. To enable it you need to

1) enable Turn-by-Turn navigation under Navigation/Saved Courses/Options (3 bars) 

2) enable the pop-up screen in the Activity Profile/ Navigation where you can indicate if you want text only or a map pop-up. For this thread the user want Map

I have both those features enabled. 

Do you follow a course ? You did Ride (the onscreen button)  ? Both are needed. When you did that, you should see the "Calculating..." message - you must because turns is one things it calculates so no message no turns. Also you don't see any turn or you see some but not all ? If none it is likely something with your setup, if only missing a few it may be something with the map at this specific location (which you cannot solve)

According to a video I have watched the larger pop-up screen (with tap to go back at the bottom) ONLY appears when navigating AND not on the map screen. I may have been confusing it with the Edge 1000.
