Connectivity issues between Edge 1030 and Varia RTL516 after firmware update to 10.00

Since I updated my Edge 1030 yesterday to firmware 10.00 I have constant connectivity issues with my Varia RTL516.

Until yesterday, this connectivity was working perfectly well (I think the former firmware was 9.50 - it was the latest).

Since yesterday after firmware update, the Edge looses connectivity to the Varia every couple of minutes. Sometimes the Varia gets reconnected after a couple of minutes, to get disconnected again.

One of the interesting things with the firmware update was, that I had to reconnect all my Sensors, including the Varia, after the firmware update. Usually, this does not happen with firmware updates, as far as I remember.

Any idea, how this can be resolved? The Varia is quite useless, if if is constantly disconnected.

    hi Michael,

    check or sync for the latest RTL516 firmware (RTL515 is on 3.26)

    unpair, remove and pair again

    Firmware is already the latest (3.26). Unpair and re-pair I also already tried. Without an effect so far. 

    Some times, the connection seems to stabilize. It then stays stable for quite a while again. I could so far not identify anything specific that might cause this. It is partially just during a ride, when it had been unstable before. 

    But a general "connection is stable again", is so  far not happening.

    Issue resolved after 2-3 days. No idea what was the reason. All Firmware was up-to-date. But at least, it works well in the meanwhile. Wanted to share. All I consistently do now is first switch on the Varia and afterwards switch on the Edge. Have not tested whether this might have been the reason for the issue. But this way it works reliably.
