No maps visible on Garmin Edge

I noticed that there were a few threads on the issue of having no map visibility on the Garmin Edge 1030.

I have the latest version of Garmin Express 7.0.1.0

I have the latest software on the device 9.50

I have tried re-installing the maps, no luck

I have enabled all the mapsI can put in a route, all I can see is the route, not the base map

I do not want to go over to open street maps as a solution.

Any suggestions gratefully received :)

As far as I can see on your fotos there is one map missing: Garmin cyclemap EU, South West.
And maybe you‘re living in that area.

I have actually sorted this. If you hold the power button down for 10 seconds, it does a soft reset. This must do more than simply switching the device off and on. Problem solved.

That was there, I had to scroll down to show that. I live in UK. I sorted the problem, see answer below. Cheers, Jim
