9.50 freezing

All the post 9.10 beta's leading up to 9.50 had some stability issues after upgrading, and 9.50 still does.   I'd recommend backing it up, doing a hard factory reset, and then restoring.  Given the number of people (including myself) having to do that lately, I created a backup util to try and stem the bleeding some: https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/cycling/f/edge-1030/231117/i-ve-created-a-backup-utility-aimed-at-1030-s-in-particular---edgebackup---v0-94

• Zip up the Garmin\Debugging folder on the device and send to [email protected].
• Plug 1030 into PC.  Take a backup.  Once you get a backup, then you can reset while being able to get your settings back.  Since you can still get into it, you can reset it "normally":to defaults keeping a lot of the user settings:

• After that, follow the instructions to copy the files back from the readme:  https://github.com/admiraljkb/edge-backup.    I just had to do that again a week ago as it went bootloop again. This time, unlike previous, I had backups from testing the tool.  It also gave me a chance to clarify/work on the code and instructions. :)  So much nicer to have most everything back without having to recreate my data screens and pair devices again.

Or you can just reset and go clean.  Unfortunately that doesn't prevent the crashes from coming back later as I found out.  I'm hoping for a stable version soon...
