Repeatedly Auto Pause/Continue with Speed Sensor when taking slow steep climbs on MTB

I used to have the old Speed and Cadence Sensors on my MTB paired to the Edge 1030. These two are now on my Cyclocross Bike. For the MTB, i bought the new Speed and Cadence Sensor 2 Bundle and installed them, paired with ANT+ to the Edge.

Both are working fine, Wheelsize is also properly set on the Sensor Information Page.

I'm used to ride with Auto Pause. Auto Pause is triggered when I stop. However, if I take some steep climbs where I'm at low speed, the Edge triggers Auto Pause, justa sec or two later continues the ride, that sequence continues until I ride faster.

Speed sensor does deliver Speed values, if i start an activity indoors and just turn the wheel, I get speed values from the sensor.

The old speed sensor definitely didn't have that kind of issue. Or is there anything not set right? I don't remember that I'e changed any setting beside of that new sensor pairing.

When I disable Auto Pause i don't encounter this behaviour, but often I just forget to Pause the ride manually, or even worse, forget to continue once on the bike again.

Any ideas what this is causing?
