Garmin Segments

I don’t use segments very much and in the past the Garmin segments worked fine for me because I only want to compete with myself. I have no need for Strava. Lately the segments work but on two of them the segment information is not transferred to Garmin Connect.

I have three segments. One of the segments always uploads its results to Garmin Connect. The other two appear to be working fine when I’m riding the segment and when completed shows my time above or below my personal best. When I look at the ride history on the 1030, the segment shows along with all the data. But this data never gets sent to Garmin Connect. Connect shows no segments ridden.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Yes, I’ve got exactly the same on one segment. PB on the 1030 never gets updated, no matter how many times I beat it.

No idea why, though

I deleted all three of my segments and redid them with different names. Perhaps that will solve the problem. Does seem very strange that the segment won't transfer to Connect. I guess Strava segments work better but the five dollars a month is hard to justify.

Would like to try that, but I’m reluctant.

I would be top of the leaderboard for my age group in the segment that just won’t update...

Agree about the Strava cost as well.
