Edge 1030 - Beep Sounds

Hello Guys,

my Edge is making me mad. During Rides I relatively often get a kind of warning beep This is different from the Varia Tones or the standard beep.

Any idea what this could be or what the message is?

BT / Ant drops ? Edge doesn‘t display any message while beeping this way

You will need the Edge to be in communication with the eTap system. Then go to sensors -> Your eTap sensor -> sensor details and there should be option down there to control the beep.

If you have ANT drop there is a message that appears that says radar disconnected, then an another will say radar is connected shortly after. Also now there is a setting in your Radar info screen where you can choose one of two tones maybe check what is selected there.

Could be alert for speed / heart rate / cadence / time ?

Sharp corner alert ?

Air time alert ?

So many possibilities, just a matter of going through the profile being used and see what’s turned on / off.

All those beeps are associated with a alert on the screen, either a large around the bottom of the screen or a small one in the status bar at the top of the screen.

exactly! and as mentioned before there is no message in parallel ... and i‘m aware of the different varia sounds.

This is driving me mad as well. Recently, in nav mode, my 1030 beeps every 5m or so. It means I miss actual nav instructions because it’s constantly beeping (no messages).

+1 Yep I am getting this also - its like the Varia warning - no message just a beep. Proven not related to Varia because still happens when Varia not switched on.

Do you have an electronic shifting system paired? If so then it could be the end of range gear warning beep or the attempted over shift beep.

Yes I did and disabled it - bing the beeps stopped. It is the same beep as reduced alert I have configured for Varia. When did the electronic shifting beep function slip in and how do you disable it?
