Wrong Date and Time on my Edge 1030 Device

Hello

I was wondering why I could not find my activities on Garmin Connect.

Then, looking into my activities log I realized that it was because the activities I just performed on my Edge 1030 are uploaded with the wrong date and time.

The activities are logged 53 hours earlier (2 days and 5 hours).

I have synched my device several times hoping this will get corrected, but it still the same.

Can anybody guide me on how to reset the device to the correct date and time ?

  • if you are on a old firmware, you have to go outside and search for GPS, then the date and time will be corrected, in the newer betas and in the last public it is fixed to sync time via GCM or GE.

    Of course, I have been using my Edge device indoors for the last 72 days without GPS connection  (with a smart trainer, due to the lockdown).

    After your advise, I changed the activity profile to an outdoor profile that uses GPS, and the date and time got adjusted properly as soon as the GPS signal was adquired.

    Good to know that  future firmware will consider non-GPS date & time synchronization.

  • How about Edge 1000, is this correction coming also for the older model? 

  • The 1000 is 6 years old now and the last firmware release was over a year ago so I doubt it will get an update. Of course you never know, but does seem unlikely.

  • My firm wear is current.

    Successfully recorded the data gps and all other permitters  of the ride. wrong time and date?

    Only ride out side.

    I have sysn . records the date and time wrong on to the phone and computer 

    Don't seam to be able to correct it

    Date and time incorrect.

    Any help would be great
