Rides Not Uploading

My Garmin had forgotten what time it is because I have been riding indoors for the past couple of months.

GPS lock has set all the dates correct now.

I have tried syncing connected to my computer and through Bluetooth to my phone and rides still won't upload.

I have tried manually, on an individual activity and it says it has uploaded, but I check in GC and the activity isn't there.

Any ideas?!

software version 9.10

  • Did you try syncing with Garmin Express? Also, make sure the account used to login is the same for GC Mobile, GC Web, and Garmin Express.

    look in GC for the date the indoor rides were made

    you can repair the date of your indoor fit files with help of Fit File Tools's time adjuster

    you said the date was off, look on your device in the activity folder which file date it has

    now check in GCWeb on the data you found in the activity folder Slight smile

    I would delete the one with wrong date uploaded in GCWeb

    and repair with the previous provided link

    or I complete misunderstood your first post

  • Thanks again, I wasn't very clear in the beginning.

    My 1030 says that the activity has been uploaded, but it is not in GC.

    I looked in the activity folder and I couldn't see the activities.

    I HAVE saved them after I have finished my activity.

    I have had to download all the missing files from another service and then upload them to GC.

    I have read that a firmware update will enable the device date to maintain date and time over WiFi or Bluetooth. So hopefully this won't happen again in the future.

  • I have this same problem.  Luckily I was using TrainerRoad at the same time, so I have my ride sync'd there as well, so loosing the ride in my Edge 1030 wasn't a total loss.  I had to get a GPS lock and get the time/date updated before the next indoor ride would update properly.  Now I just make sure I update w/ GPS often before starting my indoor ride.

  • More than likely the ride is uploaded, but under a different date/time so you can’t find it. When it happens usually the date on the device resets to last time it reliably connected to satellites, so it can take a bit of time to find them in the list. 

  • I found a few of the rides by back-searching in the history, but not all of them.  Thanks for the tip.
