Calculation Method confusion.

Hopefully you can help.
I just don’t really understand what the minimise time and minimise distance calculation offer me?

Surely if I have set a route, it is what it is. Surely the distance is what I have inserted when I created the map?

Those are for when you allow the Edge to compute a course to a location. They are not used when following a pre-planned route.
