Climb Pro screen pop up

Is there a way to disable automatic change to ClimbPro screen when a climb approaches/starts? I really like this feature, but hate automatic screen change - esp when going fast downhill followed by a climb, and 1030 changes my navigation map to climb pro screen, so I have to either guess where to go or slow down to be able to slide back to navigation. Thanks

Enter Settings >> Activity profiles >> Choose the desired profile >> Data Screen >> ClimbPro >> Uncheck "Pop-up on Climb Aproax"

thanks .... but what I uncheck the "pop-up on climb approach" it disables Climb pro for whole profile completely: the profile setting shows "Climb pro: disabled in this profile" then

Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug??

It's not a problem, it is the design. I am one of those that find there is already too many setting on these devices. Most users are lost already. I am good at that stuff so it does not bother me but I would understand garmin take a more simplistic approach - you want to feature or not kind of thing. Not tweaking. This also make software more reliable overall because ore options means more possibilities for issues.

I disagree.

Why disabling a Climp Pro feature would be labeled by "pop-up on climb approach" instead of just 'disable climp pro' , plus why this setting would be on 2 different places if the goal is to simplify things.

Before garmin is resolved, you can only use edge remote to quickly and safely change to the map page

This is what I believe it should do

On the activity profile is an option to enable/disable ClimbPro. This should control the whole feature. It is either enabled or disabled.

Down in the data screen settings is a control option to switch off the pop-up on climb approach.

This I assume should leave ClimbPro running, but does not bring the ClimbPro page to the front, but rather adds it to the active training pages and leaves the user on their current page.

I just changed the pop-up setting and it disables the feature as a whole. I will raise a ticket with Garmin.

It worked exactly like that in an older software version. Unfortunately I don't remember the version number.
