How can i have control from my Garmin 1030 to apps music in my Smartphone?

Many times in a long Travel, I want change the playlist and i need stop, get out my smartphone make this change and road again… don't exist an app for garmin 1030 who have control for apps music of my smartphone?

I would disagree...It's not dangerous if you use bone conduction, open ear headphones like AfterShokz. You can still hear everything going on around you.

My there are some flogs responding to this, let a person do what they want! The responders dont even konw the scenario

Music control would be a great feature.

Great idea. I'd llike this feature, too. I'd switch to a device that had these controls. No less safe than any other feature I use on the garmin head unit during a ride.

I wanted the same. Finally got this solution. I use my edge 1030 to track the ride, but use my Forerunner to control and see the music on my phone.

If you are wearing an Apple watch while riding you can control songs being played or ask Siri to play another playlist. But please make sure you are using bone phones!

Yes, let's never change. I think it would be great. I ride gravel roads and have rear radar. I use the head set to know when cars are behind me. Controlling spotify, from my hoods, using the programmable buttons would be fantastic!

So, are saying hitting a button on your Edge 1030 "would be very hazardous while riding." A lot less hazardous than picking up your phone to do it while riding.
