last activity gone

Hi there!

Since a few days, when finnishing an activity I can save the activity. It shows up in the history, however the first previous activity is deleted.

After another activity the above repeats.

Activities are stored on sd-card. file is only 17 MB big.

Any ideas, please?

    Do you have hundrets of activities stored? If yes - delete/backup most of them.

    I do have 1 year of activities, yes. however storage not full.

    you think this is it? i could try to delete some to see what happens?

    It is not a question of storage space but of indexing the files. With too many files this becomes problematic.

    I have deleted the oldest 20 and tried again. same result when saving new activities.

    I see 201 activities by the way.

    have deleted all activities now.

    how come that when restarting all activities come back into device?

    like they haven't been deleted at all.

    i have really no clue how these activities return on the device. must be in the device since it appears even when wifi/bt switched off.

    There is an index limit of 200.

    Check that the files are not in the Activities folder on the Edge. I'm assuming you deleted them out of the Activities folder on the card.

    Dear All,

    I have deleted the following

    Activities (files) on SD card (none on internal memory by the way, which is good)

    Summary file on internal memory (none on sd card)

    Activity files keep on coming back once the dvice has been started. There must be some link in the internal memory?

    Even when WIFI and BT are switched of same happens.

    I am a bit lost now.

    I could format sd card however I have no clue why this happens out of the blue. The sd card is not corrupted as far as I can see since it works well.

    Furthermore I had the hidden files to show, but when exploring all garmin folders no files like activities, summaries nor histories are shown.

    help help help, please. Anyone?

    Which way did you delete the activities? I recommend to do it the device-own way - although it is normally possible to delete them by PC.

    When your activities are stored on the SD card, have you tried to remove the card?

    BTW: files coming back „out of the blue“ is not unusual. They come back from Garmin/Debugging/Backup and have other names or structure there.

    Alan, however, is much more familiar with the device, maybe he knows better advice.

    also by deleting via device-own-way it's the same result....I'll remove the card to see what happens....

    will it be an option to delete Garmin/Debugging/Backup and which files would that be?
