Live Track still doesn't work with iOS 13 (iPhone 11 Pro)

Hello,

I am using an iPhone 11 Pro with my Garmin Edge 1030, the LiveTrack function still does not work !!
I tried everything to reset the counter on my iphone but nothing works.

I am very surprised that no solution is implemented on the part of Garmin to finally make this function work correctly.

In September 2019, on my old iPhone when I installed iOS 13, it was no longer even possible to connect the iPhone to the Edge 1030.

I look forward to a solution because outside of LiveTrack the Strava Beacon function does not work either.

For your information, unable to start LiveTrack manually it does not work either!

Thank you in advance for your return and especially for a quick solution.

I hope that the replacement for the Edge 1030 will be much more efficient in terms of Bluetooth connections with smartphones ....

It is time for Garmin to release a bug-free device!

P.S : I tried the last Beta 9.24 but it doesn't work ....

  • I have given up on LiveTrack and started using the RoadID app. Not ideal but it works.

As for iOS 13, i found it to be a phone problem and not with the 1030. I am sure you have already looked but here is a link in the event anyone else may be experiencing problems with their Garmin device and new iPhone

  • Sorry to hear you are still having trouble with this, at which point does the livetrack fail? Do you receive an error message? Emails not going out to contacts?

If you can provide us with some additional information we may be able to provide a solution to the issue.

  • Here is the error message

  • I answer myself.
I just found the solution to the problem really by accident.
I disable Bacon (Strava) and there it works.
I have the strava application also installed on my iphone. I disconnected and then reconnected again and LiveTrack works perfectly as well as the auto start.

    Beacon therefore generated this error.

    I'm happy ....

It still lacks this function of being able to answer calls or SMS and that will be perfect. But apparently it blocks on the side of Apple.

It's possible on Android Phone !

However, this possibility exists in cars connected via bluetooth, we know how to respond to SMS.
I hope this will happen on the next 1040, 1050 ....

  • I haven't had Livetrack or Strava beacon work in well over a year!

  • Works fine for me on my iPhone 11 Pro except for the switch you set to keep track for 24 hours. It appears to have moved to being available only after you have started live track and doesn’t work anyway since the latest upgrade to the app.
