Edge 1030 stuck on loading profiles screen, and no files in the New Files folder to delete

Edge 1030 stuck on loading profiles screen. I am able to connect it to my computer, but there are no files in the New Files folder to delete which I've read on earlier posts is a solution to this problem - can anybody help please? I have only used this device once

  • 1) delete (backup) the file(s) in Garmin/Activities and Garmin/Courses on the device.

    If that helps, one of the deleted files makes a problem. If it doesn‘t help:

    2) Take out the SD card (if you have any inserted).

    If this doesn‘t help, run Chkdsk /f over the device (with a PC)
