Routing on Edge 1030 is wrong (compared to 820)

When routing on my Edge 1030 (Roadbike mode) , it will take me over the "Autobahn/Highway". I used the same settings as on my Garmin 820 (especially avoidance of "Autobahn/Highway"). On my Edge 820 I'll get a perfect route on cycleways or minor roads. I tried different settings, without sucess.

What is wrong here?

BTW I am on firmware 9.10...

  • Please make a new thread with your example and open a case at the garmin support. Garmin Support doesn't read this forum, so your problem will never be solved if garmin not know about.

  • We believe this problem was resolved with a combination of software (9.50) and the most recent map update (2020.10). Please let me know if anyone is still experiencing this issue.

    - We try our best to address as many threads as we can. But your recommendation to reach out to Product Support is a great option to capture individual issues and thank you for adding this advice.

  • The problem was solved with a silent Update of of EU South West 2020.10 after first delivering.

    First Version was:
    File: D6017040A.img, length 2846425088
    Header: 30.03.2020 15:19:13, DSKIMG, XOR 00, V 20.10, Ms 0, 006-D6017-04
Mapset:   Garmin Cycle Map EU, South West,2020.10

And some days later you delivered:
    File: D6017040B.img, length 2855272448
    Header: 17.04.2020 14:59:38, DSKIMG, XOR 00, V 20.10, Ms 0, 006-D6017-04
Mapset: Garmin Cycle Map EU, South West,2020.10

The bad was/ist that early adaptors get no information that there is a new version.

So please next time if something is wrong please give the new MAP-Version a new minor Version number.

What the MAP-Team did is not a good practice.
