eBike data in fit file

Since more and more of us are riding e-bikes, it would be about time to write those data fields to the fit file. I know there are apps for Specialized bikes, but since the values are populated already in the edge, it would be easy to add them to the activity so it would work for all bikes.

Out of curiosity what eBike data is worth to be written in the fit file?

You want that data to be logged? How is that helping you to analyse your performance?

Yes, I want this data to be logged, for example I can compare how much battery I used for similar trips.

I second that request. i'm interested in a data screed that shows battery % remaining and power level being used (eco, medium, full). I can get that info in the bike's iPhone app, but my phone is kept in my jersey or saddle bag.

There are 3 fields of interest: eBike battery (%), assists mode (1,2,3) and assist level (%). Please make sure that these values are stored in the fit file, so we can use it for our analysis.

Still not in V9.1, so I bring it up again. Can you please add eBike battery (%), assist mode (1,2,3) and assist level (%) to the fit file?

ANT+ conformance exists for heart rate, speed, cadence, power, speed and cadence, and FE-C devices.
There is no conformance for ebike data. Each bike company has its own protocoll for that.

I believe that the eBike field is a garmin field and it displays the value of the battery of my eBike correctly. Cadence is also displayed and stored in the fit file so I see no reason why they can't add the other values to the fit file.

You‘re right! I just tested Garmin ebike with my Speci Levo and It shows data for battery and support. Didn‘t know because I use Jan Capeks ebike field which writes the data to the fitfile - unfortunately only available for Levo and Kenevo.
