Wifi and BT problems

I was using my Edge 1030 for months without having problems. Unfortunately 2 weeks ago I uploaded a new gpx as I always do in the New File folder.

Net day I wanted to cycle this gpx. So after I selected this course on my Edge 1030 and start to cycle my Edge 1030 was crashing. I tried several things but the only solution to get my Edge 1030 running again was a factory reset. Since than I'm unable to configure the Wifi. When I select Wi-Fi he always shows me a page telling me to Download and open the Garmin Connect Mobile App on my Telephone and go to connect,garmin.com/en-US/start/edge for more information. But this link does not exists. I have no clue what to do

Pairing my Garmin with my telephone (Motorola Moto) also seems to be a problem. I have the impresion that my phone can see the Edge, but that the Edghe won't find my telephone

Thanks for any help

I found the solution by coincidence.

Troubleshooting a Garmin device is really a pain .... I tried several things such as switching off WiFi on my Smartphone. Switching off Bluetooth and forget all devices also on my Smartphone and switching off Bluetooth on my Garmin followed by powering off and on of both devices (my Garmin and my Smartphone). Unfortunately they didn't pair when switching on Bluetooth.

Than I noticed that the name of my Garmin is by default "Edge 1030". I changed it to a new name and surprise, surprise ... suddenly my Smartphone and Garmin paired successfully according to the Garmin Connect Mobile App. And surprise, surprise ... after about half an hour suddenly the WiFi settings appeared on my Garmin. It was set to switched off, but I switched it on and was able to add my home network.

After 2 weeks everything works again as before. It's easy once you know the solution, but Garmin remains a pain to troubleshoot
