Does LiveTrack reconnect to the 4G network automatically?

Hello guys!

I raised this issue because I have already experienced livetrack to stop recording and logging route data when I enter regions without telephony coverage. I soon deduced that it was because of the loss of 4G coverage to continue transmitting the location data. Does anyone know anything about the question? Or if I need to access a menu to manually reconnect after receiving the 4G signal?

I've found that with recent FW, this problem seems to have been fixed. I frequently ride into areas with no coverage (with Livetrack running, as I pass out of range, I get a message on the 1030 screen about no network coverage and then when I get back to where coverage is available, another message about the network reconnecting), but although livetrack obviously can't transmit data without a network, it does so when the network reconnects, as my wife can follow my rides on these days. I'm running latest GCM on a Pixel 2 phone with Android 10.

  • So I'm in a situation similar to yours. But in the region I currently live there is 100% 4G coverage. In other places, I lost LiveTrack halfway down the trail. I got home safe and sound, but my wife believed several times that I stood on the road indefinitely. Thanks dear
