Ride data not uploading to iPhone

My rides used to show up in the connect up.  I try to manually sync and nothing happens.  They device is connected via bluetooth but it just doesn't transfer.  I've tried turning things off and on, restarting, etc.  I had to connect my device to my computer via USB to upload the ride.  Anybody else having this problem?

    It occurs occasionally, and I am not sure why. I've found restarting my phone usually fixes the issue, though sometimes, I just connect it to a computer and manually import the .fit file into GC on the desktop and all is well.  In the worst case, the .fit file is corrupted and then you should follow the instructions int he pinned thread at the top of the Edge 1030 parent forum.

    I have the same problem, upload failed. I try with wifi hostpot and connect garmin trough, but there is the same upload failed problem. 

    On Garmin forerunner945 work everything ok.

    I am having the same problem. Pretty much shortly after I uploaded to version 8.0. Immensely irritating. Is it time to switch to Wahoo??

    Go ahead and update to version 9. Then retry.  If that fails, restart the phone and reopen GC...etc., etc.  See my reply above.

    I noticed version 9.0 which after downloading from Garmin connect the ride uploaded while hardwired to my mac so am hoping all will work well post ride via Connect on my iphone. Thanks for you reply btw. Hopefully 9.0 is the fix.

    Using a Edge 1030 that don't upload my cycling rides to my iphone automatically. Have to open my iphone open the Garmin app and manually sync(many times)  to get the upload .Used a Edge 520 for 4 years  flawlessly. Tried everything i could read to resolve the problem install, reinstall, reboot iphone or Edge 1030, disconnect Bluetooth and re-paired on Iphone.etc, etc

    Any toughs?

    My Edge 1030 don't upload my cycling rides to my Iphone. Have to open the Garmin Connect APP on my Iphone and hit numerous time the SYNC button till it starts to upload to my Iphone. Read and tried everything i could find like turning off Iphone and Garmin, Removing Bluetooth connection and re-pairing. Updating Iphone APP Garmin Connect and the Garmin 1030 itself. Used a Garmin Edge 520 for 4 years flawlessly

    I would suggest trying another Iphone. I was having a problem with the rides not uploading through the Iphone and I thought that the problem was with the Garmin. It was about time to update my Iphone so I got a Iphone 12 and the rides upload fine. Some Iphones have been known to develop problems with their bluetooth antenna.

    Did you ever get an answer to this. I am in the exact same situation as you. My 520 was perfect.
