Not for the first time and I think I have tried all the permutations. It was always temperamental but now is just won't show up on the desktop whereas a 1000 using same cable and port does. I have seen loads of posts on the same thing and some threads have been closed down. I believe Garmin is just in denial! Tried already, different ports, 5 cables, reset mac, reset 1030, reset while powering up and all of the above in different order. I like the 1030, battery life is finally good, screen is pretty good and directions and recoding all OK - there are workarounds in uploading and downloading rides but none quite so definite as going int the folders and files and dragging across. So frustrating. Will probably be my last garmin.
